Frank Silverii

Lead pastor

As senior pastor, I serve as the primary vision caster and communicator on the teaching team. I lead collaboratively with the Official Board of Elders and our staff in the following areas: leadership development, organizational and strategic leadership, and church multiplication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I earned a Bachelor of Arts (equivalent), and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. It has been my privilege to serve in full-time ministry in a variety of roles for over 30 years, including: youth, young adults, senior associate pastor, and lead/senior pastor.

FAMILY
I have been married to my amazing wife, Laura, for 40 years! We have two adult sons (Sean & Nathan), and one adult daughter (Jaimee). We love our kids and their wonderful spouses! Our greatest joy is our 6 grandchildren: Caleigh, Mykah, Presleigh, Ezekiel (in heaven) Kainen, and Kinzley. We are grateful and blessed!

FAVORITES
Music: I am a 70s rock n’ roll guy! But I truly love songs of worship to the Lord; Hillsong United, Kari Jobe, Gateway, and others.
Food: Yes! Italian and Mexican are favorites; however, I immensely enjoy most everything.

Rob Awil

Executive Pastor of Ministries & Missions

As the Executive Pastor of Ministries & Missions, I provide strategic leadership to the various ministries of the church. While I am not in every ministry, my role is to coach and encourage the ministry leaders who are directly in charge. It’s also a joy of mine to give hands on leadership to our college students, young adults, and young professionals. I provide leadership to our discipleship pathways to ensure every congregation member has a clear way to grow in a 5G life (gather, grow, giveback, go, and glorify). 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I received my Bachelor of Arts from the California Maritime Academy. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Christian Ministries from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Currently, I am finishing a Master of Divinity. Over the past 12 years, I have served in different ministry roles in church contexts such as: youth, young adults, associate pastor, and lead pastor. I also have served in Student Development within the world of Christian Higher Education.

 

FAMILY
Brittany and I have been married for almost a decade. I grew up in Northern California and my wife grew up in Connecticut—we met in Missouri at Evangel University. Only God! Together we have two young daughters (Harlow and Eden). They are our joy and God’s beautiful gift to us.

 

FAVORITES
I enjoy sports and fitness! Basketball is my favorite sport. I played and coached in college. I also enjoy hiking and reading. Of course, spending time with my wife and kids tops the list!

Laura Silverii

Women’s Pastor

As the women’s pastor, it is my privilege to provide support and leadership to my volunteer teams in every aspect of women’s ministry, which includes small groups, bibles studies, and the planning of events throughout the year.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I am a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. As a pastor’s wife, it has been a great pleasure to serve in ministry for over 30 years in a variety of areas, such as children, youth, women, worship, and missions.

Family
I have been married to a really great guy, Frank, for over 40 years. We have two adult sons, Sean and Nathan, and one adult daughter, Jaimee. We love our kids and their wonderful spouses! Our pride and joy are our six grandchildren, Caleigh, Presleigh, Mykah, Ezekiel (in heaven), Kainen, and Kinzley.

Favorites
My most favorite thing is spending time with family and friends. A highlight for me is watching British Comedies with my dad. Some of my other favorites are riding on our motorcycle (especially with our Sons of Thunder ministry), horseback riding, cooking, art and design, drawing, and watercolor painting, exercising (Pilates & walking). And last, but not least, I thoroughly enjoy going to a San Jose Sharks Hockey game.

I enjoy many different types of music. Movie theater popcorn with lots of butter is my utmost favorite “food”.

Thomas Seibert

Digital & Design Pastor

As the Digital & Design Pastor, I am responsible for developing strategies to grow online church engagement and discipleship. I oversee the  in house and online production as well all communications. I work with the executive pastoral team to increase church awareness with our neighborhood and nations.  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
I am an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. I have over 10 years of ministry experience.  I  launched Church Design Lab, a creative design agency for churches, and previously worked at Apple as a Senior Designer. 

FAMILY + FUN
I have a passion for design and love to learn new things through reading, YouTube, and podcasts. I enjoy all types of music and love traveling with his wife Abbey and our two son’s Maverick & Israel. I also love disc golf and living a healthy lifestyle.

Abigail Seibert

Assistant Pastor of Digital Church

My role provides assistance to the Digital and Design Pastor. I’m grateful that I get to build, nurture, and develop relationships with volunteers, staff, and our online community alongside my husband, Thomas. My role equips and mentor Sunday social media team greeters while highlighting Sunday services, events, community outreach and how Bethel is making an impact in our community.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I am a licensed minister with Assemblies Of God for five years now. I started working as an intern in San Francisco at Glad Tidings Discipleship Internship where God took our team to four different countries to serve and share the gospel of Christ. We got to hold crusades and minister in the villages of the Philippines, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Liberia. My last role was an Executive Administrative Assistant supporting in the children’s ministry.

FAMILY
I have been married to my amazing husband for four years! We met while we were both pursuing the call of God in our lives in San Francisco. I was actually his assistant in a young adults ministry. God has blessed us with a beautiful son, Maverick Psalm Seibert. We are so excited and blessed to be a part of Bethel church.

FAVORITES
Music: I love to worship and listen to instrumentals. Music speaks to my soul.

Food: Foodie over here! I’m a yelper and find the best places to eat anywhere I go. I love to travel and enjoy different kinds of food and did I mention that I love desserts ☺ I look at the dessert menu before looking at the mains.

Johnathan Aleman

Gen Now Pastor of Kids

I oversee the kid’s ministry with a focus on 1st -5th grade students. Our goal is to partner with parents and provide them with the resources they need to lead a legacy of faith, by being the primary faith trainer in their home. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  
I am working on completing my GED, with the goal of a BA in Early Childhood Development. I am licensed with the Assemblies of God and am pursuing Ordination. I have been blessed to serve in full time ministry for the past 11 years and have had the roles of Kids and Youth pastor. 

FAMILY 
My wife (Kailani) and I are in our 10th year of marriage and have been blessed with 2 children Alakai and Kyla. We also have a fur baby named Pebbles who loves to have the spots on her back rubbed.

I love hanging out with my family whether it’s on a beach or taking a stroll down main street in Disneyland.

Kailani Aleman

Gen Now Pastor of Youth

As Gen Now Pastor of Youth, I work alongside our Gen Now team to serve families and students in 6th – 12th grades. My responsibilities include creating opportunities for youth discipleship, creating, and developing youth and adult serve teams, organizing, planning, and leading weekly services and special events, and integrating families into the Legacy Pathway.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I am a Certified Minister with the Assemblies of God, currently working towards Licensing. I began my ministry journey as a church intern who led our Sunday Ministry to 6-8th grade students. Over the course of the following 7 years, I worked as a part-time youth pastor, full-time children’s pastor, and now I’m back serving teenagers again in youth ministry! 

FAMILY
My husband, Johnathan, and I just celebrated a decade of marriage and are looking forward to the next decade in the Lord! We have the most amazing kids, Alakai and Kyla who bring us joy, and laughter every day! It’s truly an honor and a blessing to be their mom. Our family wouldn’t be complete without mention of Pebbles, our spunky English Bulldog. 

FAVORITES

Music: I love such a variety of music from worship and gospel to 80’s R&B and rock & roll. I will listen to almost everything BUT country. 


Food: My first love is for coffee, not technically a food but it does come from a bean so, there’s that. I do love pastries and sweets but am always down for sushi and hamburgers!

Silvana Nahas

Gen Now Pastor of Early Childhood

As the Pastor of Early Childhood, I serve the families and young children in our church, through the Gen Now Ministry. In partnership with an amazing team of volunteers, I teach the children about God’s love for them and help them recognize Jesus as their best friend. I also partner with the Gen Now leadership to support Special Projects such as the Legacy Pathway where we empower families to grow and guide their children/teenagers to be disciples of Jesus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I earned a Bachelor’s in Math and am a Certified Minister with the Assemblies of God through Berean School of Bible. I started working at Bethel in 2007 as a part-time Children’s Ministry Admin, and by God’s grace and guidance, I am now a pastor on staff supporting young families and young children. It has been an honor to serve the Bethel Kids Ministry for nearly 15 years.

Family
I moved to the United States from Brazil, in 2007 with my husband and son. In 2011, I lost my husband to cancer, and I have been a widow since then. I have an adult son (Eduardo) that is moving away to attend the University of Alabama in the Spring of 2024. God has blessed me so much during all these years here in the US, and I’m thankful to Him for what I have.

Movies and TV Series: I love Hallmark movies and TV series such as NCIS, Law & Order, Heartland, The Chosen, etc


Food: Italian food is my favorite; however, I enjoy almost everything, particularly sweets and bread!


Music: Worship songs in English and Portuguese, and Bossa Nova (Brazilian music style)

Bree'anna Walberg

Worship Arts Pastor

As the Worship Arts Pastor, I lead all the worship- and music-related ministries at Bethel Church, providing musical, spiritual, and pastoral guidance to the volunteers within those ministries and the congregation as a whole.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I have a B.A. in Music Ministry from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA, and have been working in full-time worship ministry for over 7 years. I have been involved in music ministry since childhood, and have been leading worship since middle school. I have directed worship team, choir, and orchestra, and have participated in many musical groups, including the Seattle Symphony Chorale. I have composed, arranged, and orchestrated many different styles of music over the years, both for Sunday morning services and special events. I am a classically trained pianist and vocalist, and I also play acoustic guitar and euphonium, among other instruments.

FAMILY
I am blessed to have wonderful God-fearing parents, two sisters, a brother-in-law, and a niece and nephew that I adore.

FAVORITES
Music: I listen to all kinds of music, but I love indie/acoustic and MUSICALS!
Food: I love to bake! Pies are my specialty, but I’ve baked almost anything you could think of at this point.

Michael Gondi (Supriya)

Santa Clara Campus Pastor

As a campus pastor, I am responsible for pastoring our Santa Clara congregation and making disciples in neighborhoods and nations. It is my privilege to pray, serve, preach, cast vision, connect, disciple & equip people to live out their God-given purpose. I work closely with the San Jose campus and the Senior Pastor as we lead our campuses to impact our cities with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering from UC Merced. After working in tech, I wholeheartedly gave my life to Jesus and began my pursuit in full-time ministry. I completed a 2-year leadership program at Bethel Church along with my education at the Berean School of the Bible. I have been a licensed pastor with the Assemblies of God since 2017. I have been honored to serve in ministry roles as a youth pastor, young adult pastor and a campus pastor.

FAMILY

I tied the knot in 2018 to my beautiful wife Supriya. We are to blessed to have two amazing pandemic babies (Jaden & Zayne). The recent years have been a challenge, but we are so thrilled to be able to enjoy life together as a family. We love our boys and are so thankful to God for the wonderful joys He has brought to us. Our life is so blessed and we’re the happiest we’ve ever been!

FAVORITES
I love my life as follower of Jesus. He has made everything so much more enjoyable. I love to learn new things – Reading the Bible along with other books has become a very fun hobby for me. I enjoy movement: playing soccer, lifting weights, running and having dance parties with my 2 baby boys! My wife and I enjoy cooking and eating both healthy food & unhealthy food; We can eat a salad for lunch and devour a BBQ plate with fried chicken and mac & cheese for dinner. I also love worship music, rap and many types of movies ranging from sci-fi to suspense and drama.

Lisa Ferrante

Pastor of Prayer & Care

As the Pastor of the Prayer and Care ministry, I serve under our Senior Pastor to help lead our Elder Board Prayer team that participates in the Altar prayer ministry on Sunday mornings. I also oversee the Bethel Prayer list and prayer team leaders who pray over the needs, mission and vision of Bethel church and the Bethel Staff and ministry teams. I also have the privilege of organizing and leading prayer events as Bethel Church advances the mission of Jesus in our community.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I attended Global University as part of the Ordination process and have been an Ordained minister with the Assemblies of God since 2010. I am continuing my studies with Global University to further my education in Bible and Theology. I have attended Bethel church for the past 45 years and have served on our Official Board, Missions Board and as the Women’s ministries Director along with teaching various Sunday School classes and Women’s Bible study and prayer groups.

FAMILY
I have been married to my wonderful husband John for the past 38 years who I met at Bethel Church at the age of 15 1/2. We have three adult daughters, Morgan, Ashleigh, and Tiffany and two amazing sons-in-law Nick and Chris. We have one grandson Winston and a granddaughter and grandson coming in July and September.

FAVORITES
I enjoy exercise and outdoor activities which include walking, running and Pilates along with spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I enjoy listening to worship music and making a joyful noise unto the Lord, and when taking road trips with my husband we like to rock out with 80’s music. I also enjoy eating almost any kind of dessert, especially when chocolate is the key ingredient.

Noelia De La Cruz

Outreach and Groups Director

As Director of Outreach and Groups, I serve as the lead organizer for all things outreach to advance the mission of making disciples of Jesus in neighbors and nations. I also oversee the organizational leadership and development for Hispanic Ministries in collaboration with the pastor and core volunteers. Lastly, I assist groups and group leaders in developing growing, relationship-driven, and impactful communities within their groups.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the Northwest University, and I am currently pursing my Masters in Pastoral Counseling with a specialization in Crisis Response and Trauma. I have had the opportunity to serve in full-time ministry at Bethel Church for over 5 years, including: youth administrative assistant, NextGen administrative assistant, receptionist, and executive administrative assistant to the lead/senior pastor.

FAMILY
I have been married to my husband, Bryan, for over 8 years. We have been together since we were 14-years-old! We enjoy having game nights with friends, watching live standup comedy, or simply staying home and watching movies.


FAVORITES
Music: I truly enjoy all forms of music (yes, including some country music). My go-to is definitely Hip-Hop/R&B and all forms of Latin Music since I’m a dancer at heart.

Food: I can eat Latin American food all day, everyday…especially if it includes ripe fried plantains. I also love a good BBQ and cheeseburger.

Jo Boice

Accounting Manager

As Accounting Manager, I am privileged to oversee a small, dedicated team who assure all contributions are recorded properly and all payables are processed in a timely manner. I serve on the Finance Committee and provide financial reports to the Official Board and the World Missions Board. My responsibilities include preparation and maintenance of Bethel’s budget, payroll, banking relationships, and giving statements. I assist with establishment and enforcing of procedures in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and with federal and state laws.

EDUCATION
My Bachelor of Arts degree is from Biola. I worked in banking for fifteen years, then for a Silicon Valley internet access provider.

FAMILY
I am divorced with two adult children, my son attended Bethel from birth through high school now serves on the tech team at his church in Livermore, and my daughter who still attends Bethel and serves in Bethel Kids. They are both happily married to extraordinary people who bless my life. I have three grandchildren, Monserrat, Lydia, & Micah who bring me great joy.

FAVORITES
Love music from worship to classical, country to Elvis. I am blessed by having a pair of wonderful cooks in the family, their seafood paella made my Mother’s Day! I enjoy action movies and period pieces. Love to read novels from authors like Jane Austen or Steve Berry. The night sky is fascinating, the wonders of God’s creation inspire me. I have been blessed to travel many places, my favorite trip was to Israel, second place to Cancun. Favorite Scripture: Romans Chapter 12.

Troy O'Brien

Facilities and Construction Manager

I manage the facilities and team at both San Jose and Santa Clara campuses and parsonage. I manage the events calendar and work with all department and department leaders to support their ministries. Also manage the physical needs of the building. Scheduling and working with outside contractors as well as being hands on and taking care of many in house maintenance needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
I have 30 plus years in the construction industry and have been a licensed General Contractor for almost 30 years. Been apart of the Bethel Church family for over 45 years.

FAMILY
I have been married to my best friend Marlo for 35 years. We have two daughters, Brittany, and Alyssa. And three Grandchildren, Jace, Kiana, Kenbri.

FAVORITES
Enjoy sports, baseball, football, basketball, college football and hoops. I am a baseball guy at heart, Go Giants.

Music: anything 80’s
Movies: action adventure, mysteries, and anything suspenseful.

Food: Love Mexican food, Italian and Sushi / Japanese.

In general love hanging out with my wife and family.
