Club Kangaroo
Do you have someone in your family with a disability or special need who is not attending church or their needs are not being met by our programs?
Under the direction of Crista Leamons, Bethel's Children's Ministries Department offers a "shadowing" program to families with special needs by partnering a Jackaroo or Jillaroo (volunteer buddy) with a Joey (child with special needs). Teaming in this manner allows one-on-one assistance and supervision so that kids can thrive through age-appropriate classroom inclusion.
We also offer a self-contained classroom where a quieter environment is beneficial to the child. Families check-in at (Room 115 - San Jose Campus) (Children's Registration area - Santa Clara campus) on Sunday mornings to register and connect with their buddy before going to class.
If this ministry would be helpful to you, please print out the following Survey and Assessment Form, fill it out, and return it to the Children's Ministry office.
