At Bethel Church people live out their faith in Jesus by giving generously every week. Giving is an act of faith, trusting God will replenish all that is given. In the Bible, 2 Corinthians chapters 8 & 9 provide insightful instruction on how Christians should give. The following verses from that passage sum it
up well.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7-8.
Bethel’s Pastoral staff not only practice the principle of tithing but also pray for all people who give to Bethel Church that God would move in their situation and that through their obedience they would experience the overflow of gods blessing in their lives.
Online giving is a safe and easy way to support the ministries of Bethel Church. This system enables you to support the church by making a one-time contribution or establishing a recurring contribution. Contributions of stock to Bethel Church are gratefully accepted. The tax benefits — which include deducting the amount of the charitable donation AND escaping the unrealized gains on the donated stock which has been held for over a year- come from the fact that the deduction for a donation of property to charity is equal to the property’s current fair market value. And when the donated property is an investment, the donor does not have to recognize the capital gain. These rules create a “double play” of tax benefits: a charitable deduction AND avoiding tax on the unrealized capital gains of the donated property.
