Yangsook Hwang was born in Seoul, Korea. She comes to Bethel after spending some time at home with her children. Majoring in computer science in the famous University of Seoul, Yangsook gained a scholarship every year she was there demonstrating outstanding academic achievement. She married her husband after meeting him in the computer field and they have three children two girls and one boy. Yangsook came to the United States in 1998 and discovered education after her youngest son struggled with English. Yangsook worked with language therapists and learned to do research for language delay. Yangsook discovered the importance of what early intervention and Early Childhood Education could mean for children. "I want to give other children as well as my children a proper education.
