Leadership conference went very well this morning (although speaking outside for three hours in this heat and humidity in a jacket and tie is not much fun). We had several hundred in attendance (teachers, school administrators, police, army and business leaders).  When we finished the teachings I gave a simple salvation message and I'd guess 90 percent raised their hands. We hope we have had an impact across the society of this very poor city.

We are off tomorrow for a two hour boat ride up the Amazon to the lodge where we will relax for a day before beginning the trek back. While out on the river we will visit three tribes and take a jungle hike. We will fish (and cook) pirhana.  The rest of the menu is turtle, capybara (a large pig like rodent), monkey, anaconda and a large slug (bring on the in 'n out burger).

Monday we return to Iquitos around midday and try to clean up a little before we head for the airport. If all goes according to plan we land in San Francisco late morning on Tuesday.
