Messages from Bruce...

1. Why did you decide to go on this mission trip?
Because I think it will be a good opportunity to minister to others and I really enjoyed last year's trip.  I also like to experience these events with my children.  It is amazing to see God work in their lives and to watch them experience it.  It draws me closer to my family in that respect. 

2. What do you personally expect to get out of this trip?
I am open to what will happen.  I am not expecting God to do anything for me, I am just available for whatever He has in mind.  Really, it is not about me...it is about the people that we will reach.  I already have a personal relationship with Christ.  It is the people of Peru I have expectations for.  That they can also have the gift of salvation.  I know I will be touched by the goal of reaching these people.

3. What is your prayer for God to do for each team member on this trip?
I would hope that each team member will draw closer to God in this experience and develop a stronger love for missions, perhaps even become missionaries or develop ways and means to support missionaries.  It is definitely a way to look beyond ourselves, which is difficult as Americans and as young Americans in particular.  We can never be so complacent to only look at ourselves, but always desire to reach the lost in tangible ways.  The Great Commission.  We must never lose the desire or emphasis on missions.
