Water Baptism Classes & Videotaping
We believe that water baptism is an important step in following Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38-39). As such, we offer baptism classes (to anyone 12yrs of age and up) throughout the year so you can understand what baptism is all about. The classes are taught by one of our staff pastors on Sunday mornings at 9:15am in Skyway Chapel. Immediately following the class, we videotape those who would like to be baptized. Each person will be asked the following questions on videotape:

• How did you come to accept Jesus as your Savior?
• What has it meant to you to follow Christ?
• What kind of difference has it made in your life?
• Why are you choosing to be baptized?
• What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
• How did you find Bethel Church?

	January 13, 2008	9:15am (Skyway Chapel)
	April 13, 2008	9:15am (Skyway Chapel)
	August 3, 2008	9:15am (Skyway Chapel)
	November 2, 2008	9:15am (Skyway Chapel)

Water Baptism
Once you have attended the class and been videotaped, you are ready to be baptized during the next water baptism. For example, if you attend the class and are videotaped on April 13, you will be baptized on April 27. If, for some reason, you can not be baptized at the next water baptism, please contact Shannon at the church at 246-6790 x247 as soon as possible and you can determine the next best date. 

The Baptism dates for 2008 are as follows:
	January 27, 2008
	April 27, 2008
	August 24, 2008
	November 16, 2008

The morning of the baptism you should plan to do the following:

1. Arrive in the reception area 1/2 hour before the service you will be baptized in (8:45am for the first service, and 10:30am for the second service).
2. Bring a change of clothes, a towel and a plastic bag for your wet clothes.
3. Women, wear a shirt made of heavy fabric and pants. We provide a baptismal robe to wear over your clothes.
4. Men, wear a white shirt made of heavy fabric and pants. We do not provide baptismal robes for men.
5. Children, you may wear a shirt made of heavy fabric and pants or shorts or you may wear a baptismal robe over your clothes.
6. Parents, if your child is being baptized you are welcome to stay in the baptismal tank area or sit in the sanctuary and come back after they are baptized. There is supervision in the baptismal tank area.
